A New Years Resolution Saving You Money

Can't think of a New Year's resolution for 2014? Why not begin by saving money and make the switch to compatible ink cartridges for your printer. If you're a regular use of your printer can you calculate how much you have spent on ink and toner in 2013? For the busy home user using original brand ink cartridges this cost could run into hundreds of Euros, especially if you have students who need to print out their projects, in what seems like, every other week.

New Year Resolutions 2014

For example, if you were to buy Epson genuine brand T1285 ink cartridges at their best price online you could expect to pay somewhere around €40 plus postage and packing. If you source the compatible version of this ink you should expect to pay about €10! As well as this, you are likely to receive a FREE cartridge AND if you're really lucky, a FREE gift! These savings are too big for you ignore and as the economy picks up and we all get busier then the need to print more will increase. This can equate to a sizeable saving if you were to purchase 10 sets in a year (not unreasonable for a busy family or a small office), €400 for 10 sets of original brand and €100 for compatible cartridges. If you take the same equation to a busy office using inkjet cartridges where perhaps their early ink bill is around €1000 the saving made switching to compatible are certainly significant.

Ink and toner budgets in the office of any size of business are something that should be addressed regularly in an effort to make savings. Laser toner is most popular for those busy offices that produce large quantities of printed matter. This can be a strain on the finances but the solution again is there if you make the switch to compatible ink and toner. There are some online suppliers that will offer FREE toner ink to those who buy full sets of compatible or remanufactured laser toner ink.

Perhaps you feel your original brand printer ink is too expensive and the savings on the compatible version aren't really that significant (this can be the case, especially of you are using a HP Printer). You may be deciding to change your printer completely as you have had it for a while and it gives you problems from time to time anyway. A useful tip when looking for a replacement printer is to contact your trusted ink supplier and ask them to recommend what new printer would work best with compatible ink cartridges. They should be able to advise you which printers respond best to using compatibles and those to avoid as they maybe have issues accepting the compatible ink cartridges.

This is one New Year's resolution that's easy to keep and will surely save you money in 2014.

The Difference between a Compatible and Original Ink Cartridge

Some people are unsure as to what the differences are between compatible (sometimes known as third party) and (OEM) original brand ink cartridges.

Compatible or refilled/remanufactured ink cartridges will always give you the best value and make your printing more economical.
  1. Cost
The difference in cost is the first issue with compatible ink cartridges when they are compared to original brand. In some cases the cost of a compatible cartridge can be as much as 70% less than that of an original brand. The differences in price between original brand and compatible laser toner can still be as much as 50% but is typically around 30%.
  2. Are compatibles as good as original cartridges?
The print output you get from using compatible ink cartridges in terms of volume should be at least that of the original brand. Many compatible cartridges are filled to capacity unlike their original counterparts and will out-perform in terms of which lasts longer. The price difference then becomes the main concern if you are able to get the same or more printing form a compatible inkjet cartridge. A good way to decide if the quality is satisfactory is to carry out an experiment using photo gloss paper. If you have original brand cartridges in your printer print a selection of images onto the photo paper over a period of time and display them in your office or somewhere you can see them regularly. When that ink has run out, choose a set of compatible ink cartridges and run a series of the same photos on the same paper and pin them up alongside those The difference between a printed using the original brand cartridges. The results should tell you whether the difference is enough to make want to make the switch to compatibles. Of course for everyday printing that doesn't involve the printing onto photo paper it's very likely that the compatibles will be sufficient to do the job.
  3. What is the difference between compatibles and refilled/remanufactured ink cartridges?
Although the technology behind the different types of printers that use ink cartridges is extremely complex there is a simple reason why some printers use compatible and some use refilled ink cartridges. Canon, Brother and Epson all manufacture printers with a built in print head. Therefore, when you replace the ink cartridge you are in effect replacing the ink tank. When one colour runs out you simply replace the empty colour cartridge. HP, Lexmark and Dell manufacture printers that have the print head integrated into the ink cartridge. In this case, every time you replace a cartridge you replace the print head too. These cartridges are more expensive as a rule, as they have more technology built in. They are also more likely to be refilled, as the print head is good for more use without any loss of quality.
Compatible or refilled/remanufactured ink cartridges will always give you the best value and make your printing more economical. Perform a test today and see if you can make the switch and save.

How to Print your 2014 Calendar using Free Ink Cartridges in Galway

2014 is just around the corner and we would all like to give all our friends and family a personalised calendar as a gift this New Year. Well, it doesn't have to be expensive to print your own calendar despite what you might think. The cost is usually split between the paper and the ink cartridges. The ink is probably the biggest outlay but if you shop clever for your ink cartridges in Galway then you might actually be able to print the calendar for free!

2014 is just around the corner and we would all like to give all our friends and family a personalised calendar as a gift this New Year.

Putting the calendar together means you need 113 images in total. That's one for every month and one for the cover - if you choose to have one. The images could be family photos or possibly some local scenic shots of Galway, if they are your own then you have no copyright issues with the printing of them. If you download any images from the internet be careful that you don't infringe any copyright issues by using them. In total you will need 13 sheets of A4 paper if you decide to print one image and one calendar month on each page. The photos will use the biggest amount of ink during your printing and if you can get your ink for free then this won’t put you off.

The calendar months are available online for 2014 and you can download them either in Microsoft Word format or as a PDF file. The Word file would probably be the best choice, as it will enable you to edit the file as you go along. For example, you might like to insert a family member's birthday as a reminder for loved ones.

You can source cheap ink cartridges in Galway locally or you can go online and find some of the good deals that will offer you free ink cartridges when you buy a full set of inks. Printer ink in Galway is readily available in many outlets but you may find that you have to go online to discover the best prices and free ink.

The average price of a Galway ink cartridge is probably no different to that in Dublin but sensible online shopping could mean that you get your ink for the calendar for absolutely nothing. So this Christmas, make a point of seeking out your free ink cartridges in Galway and deliver your personalised calendars to all your friends and family.

Choosing the Right Paper for Your Project

Choosing the right paper type can sometimes be confusing as there are numerous different types of paper on the market today. Here are some important tips to choose right paper type for your project.

Choosing the right paper type can sometimes be confusing as there are numerous different types and brands of paper on the market today. Choosing an ink cartridges for your printer maybe relatively easy as you can only select the cartridge that will work with your printer but the paper you print your project on is important an can affect how your finished item is perceived. It can be a good idea to request a sample from your paper supplier if possible and run a few test sheets out first.

Different types of paper have different finishes. It’s the surface texture that makes the papers feel different when they are handled.

  1. Wove or Smooth paper - This paper has a smooth uncoated surface.
  2. Laid - This paper is made with textured lines and has a ribbed feel to it. It's popular for business stationery such as letterheads, business cards, compliment slips and envelopes. This can be a more expensive item and can be used where quality is of importance. Test your printer will work with laid paper and that the ink cartridge will print evenly on the surface.
  3. Linen - This is of a similar nature to Laid paper. It too has the textured lines but in a much finer detail. This quality paper actually has 'linen' feel to it and again is a firm favourite with businesses trying to create a good impression with their clients. Again, like the Laid paper, it would be a good idea to run a test sheet through your printer to make sure the printer will accept the paper and the ink cartridges will print on this paper.
  4. Laser Guaranteed Paper - This is general everyday laser printer paper that is guaranteed to work with the laser printer. Laser guaranteed means that the printer is guaranteed to accept the paper and the toner ink will print onto the paper.
  5. Coated paper - Coated paper has been coated with a wax finish and a sample should be tried if possible before purchasing large quantities of it to make sure your printer accepts it.
  6. Uncoated Paper - A dull and unreflective paper and can feel rough' to the touch.

Another factor to consider is the weight of the paper. Of course this will depend on your printer. If you are using a standard inkjet printer that accepts standard ink cartridges it's likely you will be limited to a maximum of 120gsm. The specs of the printer will give you the maximum weight that you may use effectively. A laser printer that uses laser toner ink will usually permit you to use heavier weighted paper but not card. Print on anything heavier will usually require the services of a professional commercial printer.

5 Easy Steps to Installing Canon Ink Cartridges

A frequently asked question is how do you actually correctly install a Canon ink cartridge? Outlined below are 5 easy steps as a guide to installing your Canon ink cartridge. Some models may vary, but these tips are for the Pixma MP series of Canon printers.
  1. Removing the empty cartridge and installing replacement.
Canon Ink Cartridges When you remove an ink cartridge you should always replace it immediately with a new cartridge. You should never leave the printer without an cartridge installed either empty or full. When you have removed the empty cartridge, remove the replacement ink from the packaging paying careful attention not to touch the copper 'chip' area 'A' or print head nozzles ‘B’, see diagram '1'. Contaminating either of these areas is likely to cause problems with the printer recognising the cartridge. Once a cartridge has been installed, never remove it and leave it exposed, as this will cause the cartridge to dry out. It's worth noting that when a canon ink cartridge runs out you may still be able to use the remaining colour for a short time, but the quality will be noticeably reduced, as it may need some ink from the empty cartridge to produce the correct colour. Colour ink may be used even when the document printing is black and white. Like wise, if there is head cleaning operation is necessary, the printer will require ink form both colour and black and white.

  2. Open the printer.
With the power switched on, raise the scanning unit of the printer to reveal the inner working of the printer and it's ink cartridges. There may be a support leg for the scanner that will lock in place enabling you to use both your hand for the ink cartridge replacement. This should move the cartridge carrier to the replacement position automatically.

Get some useful tips to installing CANON Ink Cartridges for your printers
Remember not to touch the carrier until it stops and has moved into the replacement position. Be careful not to rest any objects on the scanner cover in case they fall down into the printer and prove difficult to retrieve. Also, do not touch any of the working parts inside the printer, as the printer will still have the power switched on. If you happen to have the scanner unit open for 10 minutes, the cartridge holder will move to the right hand side, if this happens simply close the scanner unit and re-open.

  3. Removing the ink cartridge.
Pinch the tabs that are securely holding the ink cartridge in position. Move to the open position unblocking the cover. Remove the canon cartridge and set down on a tissue, as there may be residues of ink that can damage clothing or a surface. Please be careful with the disposal of any ink cartridge, take the empty cartridges to your local recycling centre if there is no returns envelope with the cartridge you have opened. Remove the replacement cartridge from it's packaging and gently remove the protective tape from the cartridge. Be careful not to shake the ink cartridge as it may spill ink.

  4. Installing the replacement Canon ink cartridges.
Fit the cartridge into the cartridge holder and press down until you feel and hear a click. The colour ink cartridge will fit into the left hand slot of the printer and the black into the right. Close the cartridge cover with enough pressure that it clicks into position. If the ink cartridge cover is tilted then this indicates that the cover is not correctly closed. Please not that the printer will not operate unless both black and colour Canon ink are installed correctly. Close the printer, first raising the cover to allow the scanner support leg to fold into the printer. The printer will usually perform a head cleaning cycle immediately after the replacement; please do not perform any other functions until the printer has completed this action.

  5. Troubleshooting
From time to time you will experience problems when installing the Canon ink cartridges. If you are using a compatible ink cartridges it may be that the printer will not read the ink level of the cartridge and declare it empty. If this happens, simply hold down the stop button for 5 seconds (this is marked with a red triangle on the operation panel of the printer). This will bypass the printer's ink level circuit and the printer will print as normal.

Dublin Santa Dash - Run for a Good Claus

This years Dublin Santa Dash is on Sunday 8th December at 11.00am. There are two distances available, 5k or 10k. Walker, runners and children are very welcome in both events and it should prove to be a real family fun day out.

Santa Dash Clontarf, Dublin is back so it's time to get your Santa Suit out and support Santa Dash Dublin and raise money for good Claus! This fun run event is ideal for adults and children.

In addition to the usual festivities associated with the Dublin Santa dash, this year there is a 'Real" Santa Grotto down on the beach where all the children can visit Santa. All children who officially take part in the race can visit Santa and receive a free Christmas present. For those children not taking part, a small fee of 5 euro is applicable.

We think, because of this, it's likely that ink shops will see an increase in the sales of ink cartridges in Dublin. Hopefully, those taking part will opt for the compatible version of the printer cartridges in Dublin in an effort to keep the cost down!

The location of the Dublin Santa Dash is Clontarf in Dublin and the run will take place on North Bull Island starting at 11am. There are two entry fees, Adult €25 and child €20. Choosing the Right Social Media for Your Business

The business world these days is built up by social media networking sites.By using the main social networks Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google Plus you can grow your business, make connections from all over the world and market your business to a whole host of people without spending any money.

Choosing the Right Social Media for Your Business

Facebook is the fastest growing social platform and it has about 200 million active users per month from counties all over the world. Facebook for business can be managed easily by creating a page using your personal profile and by doing this you can then switch between the two keeping both
pages up to date to personal contacts and customers. TIP: Download the Facebook Page Manager on your smartphone and keep on top of your pages and even add employees as administrators to manage the pages also.
PRO: With Facebook advertising, you can target potential customers through the Facebook advertising platform. As a page administrator, you can aim your advertisements to people through age, genre and interests. Facebook advertising is an excellent way of directly targeting your audience.
CON: Building a business page and getting more likes and interest can be difficult. With Facebook it’s not guaranteed that your status updates and pictures will reach everyone so you may have to re-share status and pictures to get the response and traffic you want.

With Twitter having 288 million active users it is an attractive audience that you should consider connecting with. However, Twitter is different. With users throwing around @'s and #'s it can seen a little complicated to some compared to the simplicity of Facebook.
PRO: Twitter is massive! Even if you are a small business, it is big enough for you to find an audience and unlike Facebook you are guaranteed each and every tweet goes to all of your followers.
CON: Twitter users generate 340 million tweets every day and most users follow several hundreds of profiles. If you only tweet once or twice a day your tweets will be buried in your follower’s feeds and since you are limited to 140 characters you need to get to the point with your tweets!

LinkedIn is a big social network that provides a great deal of exposure to business and can help find new partners, business opportunities, or employees. LinkedIn’s main focus is the business world and is used for "professional networking".
PRO: LinkedIn can help boost your SEO (search engine optimization) which is what search engines use to bring business and traffic from search results.
CON: When using LinkedIn it is important to know it is for a professional networking and not advertising. One of the major negatives is that advertising your products and services will be picked up as SPAM and can lead to seriously damaging your SEO in the long run.

Google Plus is important for everyone but especially small businesses due to it’s high potential impact. Google Plus is the King of SEO as it is owned by the most important search engine Google. An active Google Plus account (both personal page and company page) will be noticed and you will be rewarded by the ranking in people’s search results.
PRO: Google Plus is a great way of sharing content with users using utilizing circles. With circles, communities and hangouts (video chats), it is very appealing to many users who are working to balance their professional and personal life.
CON: While most small business owners have a very positive outlook for Google Plus, it is still growing slow and not yet that well known. Since businesses can only add other businesses to their circles, and not individuals like Facebook and Twitter, the growth can be small for your company.

A further help may be to put a moist paper towel in the container with the ink cartridges. Always make sure the cartridge protector is properly fitted to the cartridge.

Cost of buying an ink cartridge in Galway has been greatly reduced in recent weeks. There are great deals to be had on Epson, HP, Brother, Samsung and Dell compatible ink cartridges with free gifts.

Ink cartridges for the latest batch of Epson printers such as the Expression or Daisy range as they are often referred to, were until now only available as original brand cartridges. The compatible cartridge manufacturers have at last caught up and are able to offer these cartridges as replacements for the original brands. There is a vast difference between the cost of buying a compatible Galway ink cartridge and the original brand version. Big savings are to be made using the compatible cartridges and this can make quite a difference to any business over a 12 month period. Sales of printer ink in Galway have been consistently good for the local shops and online suppliers who serve the west of Ireland. More and more businesses are producing their own leaflets in an effort to reduce their advertising costs and using compatible ink and toner one way to do that.

In some instances not only is the cost of the cartridge reduced but also the online suppliers are actually offering free gifts as an incentive to buy their products. These free gifts are usually seasonal in that there may be a gift linked to Christmas or kids going back to school or one of the other important festivals. These gifts are all added value to the shopper looking for ink cartridges and are there to be grabbed with both hands! Plus, if the cartridges really are good value, you may have found yourself a dream supplier who knows the real value of a customer.

A recent survey by us asked the question of our customers in Galway “What is the most important to you when buying online?” They were given the choice of three answers and asked to rare their importance; value, quality, service. Unsurprisingly first place went to value with over 65% of people deciding that cheap ink cartridges in Galway was their number one priority. In second came quality, the print quality of the cartridge was important to 20% of our customers and not far behind in third place with 15% of the vote came customer service. It’s useful feedback and it tells us that price is the number one factor for people looking for Galway ink.

20 Easy Steps to Ink Cartridge Installation for Epson

Below are listed some useful tips on replacing ink cartridges in Epson printers. Each series of Epson printer may have it’s own method of ink cartridge replacement; I have tried to cover the more popular current models.

Useful tips on replacing ink cartridges in Epson printers. Each series of Epson printer may have it’s own method of ink cartridge replacement.

Replacing ink cartridges on printers that don’t have an LCD panel.

The printer will display a message when the ink is low. An amber or red light will be displayed next to the ink/maintenance symbol or the stop button on the printer’s control panel. See diagram.

  1. Make sure the printer is switched on. The power light indicator should be on but not flashing.
  2. Lower the paper output tray and open the printer cover.
  3. Press the ink symbol button and the print head will move the ink cartridge that needs to be replaced into line with an arrow on the carrier. On some Epson printers, the power light will begin to flash when the carrier stops at the empty ink cartridge, thus identifying the cartridge to be replaced.
  4. When you are pressing the ink button do not hold this button for more than 3 seconds as on some models it may initiate a head cleaning cycle.
  5. Also, never force or manually try to move the print head by hand as it may result in damage to the printer.
  6. Open the ink cartridge cover (lift the flap) and remove the empty ink cartridge by pinching the two ends of the cartridge as you remove it.
  7. Remember to dispose of the empty ink and toner cartridges safely, take to a recycling centre where possible.
  8. If ink gets on your hands wash immediately with soap and water.
  9. Remove the ink cartridge form the box and shake 4 or 5 times before opening the bag. Don’t shake the cartridge after you have removed it from the bag as this may cause a leak.
  10. After roving the ink cartridge from the protective cover, insert the cartridge vertically into the cartridge holder and push down gently until it clicks. The ink cartridge should fit in easily and not require any excessive force to locate it in position.
  11. Try to be careful not to damage the hooks that are on the side of the ink cartridges.
  12. It is also very important that you don’t touch the copper ‘chip’ on the cartridge as this may affect the cartridge recognition.
  13. If you run out of ink and you don’t have a replacement ink cartridge, it is best to leave the empty cartridge in the printer to prevent dust or the drying out of the print head.
  14. The colour of the ink cartridge you are replacing is easily identifiable by the colour marking on the cartridge.
  15. When you have finished replacing the cartridges close the cartridge and printer cover.
  16. Next, press the ink icon button this will begin the charging of the ink within the printer. It may take a couple of minutes to complete the charging. When the ink charging is complete, the printer will either return to the printing position or give you an indication that another cartridge needs to be replaced.
  17. It is usually recommended that a head cleaning procedure be carried out after every ink cartridges replacement.
  18. This operation can be carried out manually on the printer or via your computer.
  19. If you hold down the ink icon button for more than 3 seconds a head cleaning operation should begin automatically.
  20. Alternatively, on your computer, find printers > properties > maintenance > head cleaning.

Where to Find the Lowest Cost Ever Ink Cartridges in Cork

Good value ink cartridges in Cork are becoming a more integral part of a budget for many businesses. Compatible ink and toner in Cork is available at greatly reduced prices both locally and on-line and this just goes to strengthen the Euro in our pocket.

Customers buying printer ink in Cork at the moment are enjoying prices at an all time low with the readily available good quality compatible ink cartridges. Any good ink shop in Cork is able to supply these latest high quality compatibles that offer savings of up to 70% in some cases. For example, the Epson, Brother and Canon compatible cartridges are among those ink cartridges in Cork offering the biggest savings, while the HP, Lexmark and Samsung ink and toner is not far behind.

Businesses and home users alike are relying on printing more and more themselves finding it a cheaper alternative in some cases than using a commercial printer. If a hotel or restaurant requires daily menus then it has to find an affordable way to print without sending the job to a printer or paying the high price of an original brand cartridge. As we approach Christmas and spending increases, all businesses try to make that extra euro and are constantly producing printed matter to draw the punters in. Good value ink cartridges in Cork are becoming a more integral part of a budget for many businesses. This is one expense that can be reduced by using alternative replacement cartridges. The high standard of quality that is now available in these ink and toner cartridges can be confirmed by any good ink shop in Cork.

So, as an experiment I will try to calculate if it is cheaper to produce your own leaflets than going to a commercial printer. We take 500 A5 leaflets printed one side as an example. Of course it will depend how much coverage of ink there is on the leaflet but if we calculate that overall there is about 10% total coverage of the page with printer ink – this may be mostly text with a few illustrations. The cost for a job like this at a commercial printer would be approximately €120 – €150. If you decided to print them yourself, on an Epson printer – say an Epson Stylus inkjet printer– You would normally get about 250 A5 pages per set of 4 cartridges @ 10% coverage. That means you would require up to 2 or 3 sets of ink cartridges to produce the required 500 copies. If you were using compatible ink cartridges, the ink would be likely to cost you somewhere in the region of €30! The quality might not be the same on a standard paper but for a quick turnaround job that may be advertising a one-day only sale for example it’s perfect.

Compatible ink and toner is available at greatly reduced prices both locally and on-line and this just goes to strengthen the euro in our pocket as we begin to bask in the recovery of our economy.

How to Dispose of Our Empty Ink and Toner Cartridges

Find the Best Way on How to Dispose Of Our Empty Ink and Toner Cartridges While we all use smart phones, tablets, PC’s and laptops there is no getting away from the fact that we need to print our documents. But before we start to print it is always a good idea to see how we can save costs and be kind to the environment at the same time. This will involve a combination of the paper, ink and toner we use. A simple way to reduce our carbon footprint while printing and our selves save some money on our ink cartridges is to print by duplex. This feature is available on some printers allowing us to print both sides of the paper at the same time. Also, if your printer has a feature that automatically removes blank pages then this will save you more as well. In the past I have given tips on saving money on your ink and toner but closer inspection of the features of your printer before you buy it will give you a better chance of saving money and doing your bit for the environment.

Another thing to consider is the ink and toner that you actually put on the paper. Toner ink is a powder that is used to create the text and pictures on your document. In the early days of course it was a simple carbon powder substance very messy to handle. In later years the carbon was mixed with a polymer to improve the print quality. In laser printers the toner ink is actually melted with heat in the printer and fused to the paper, opposed to the liquid printer ink contained in an inkjet cartridge. The toner ink cartridges of today are housed in sealed units and you are not encouraged to fill them yourself but rather to take them to a recycling centre.

Buy Ink and Toner Cartridges What should we do when we run out of printer ink? Well, if we are intending to buy replacement ink cartridges we should also think about what we are going to do with the empty cartridges. There are millions of ink and toner cartridges used each year and statistics suggest that 95% of them go to landfill. Here are some more statistics taken from the United States where surveys into the impact on the environment have been taking place.

  1. It can take about 5 litres of oil to produce a new laser toner cartridge.
  2. In the USA, it is estimated that 8 ink cartridges are thrown away every second.
  3. In North America, estimates put the number of ink and toner cartridges discarded in Landfill each year at around 350 million.
  4. A typical laser toner cartridge will take up to 400 years to decompose in the earth.

Shocking statistics I know, but what can we do about it in Ireland? Firstly, we can think about how we are able to dispose of our ink cartridges when they are empty. Secondly, instead of throwing into the bin for landfill we can collect them and when we have enough gathered we can make the trip to our local Council amenity/recycling centre. There are containers in all refuse sites that will accept used ink and toner cartridges. If we all start this practice today, we can surely make a difference to our own carbon footprint.

Sales of Printer Ink in Dublin about to rocket?

Take advantage of the low cost ink prices & printer ink in Dublin at the moment and don’t forget - keep shopping! The economy is on the turn we are told and this can only be good news for all businesses not only in Dublin but in Ireland in general. According to recent statistics, the economy returned to growth in the second quarter bringing an end to 9 months of recession. On a recent visit to Dublin I felt for myself the buzz in the city and witnessed the busy shops that went with it. The busier the shops and café’s, the more advertising is required. It’s vital that the businesses continue to market themselves and printing their own leaflets is one way to do it. It need not necessarily be expensive to do this, there are plenty of shops selling ink cartridges in Dublin at affordable prices, while online there are great deals to be had and you can have your printer ink next day.

Strolling past Cleary’s clock and the soon to be re-opened store last week in O’Connell street, I couldn’t help but notice that the large crowds of shoppers must surely give hope to the shops that the tide has finally turned and now people are back spending in the high street. There were noticeably various forms of advertising cleverly being used to attract customers into shops; sandwich board walkers, leaflets being handed out and good point of sale adverts in the windows. The most effective for me, from a customer’s point of view, was the leaflet I was handed that entitled me to a 20% discount on that particular Saturday. The leaflet was in fact a voucher with good design and printed on a basic quality paper. It got the message out and I am sure did not break the bank as far as the cost of paper and ink cartridges was concerned. I am sure the trend will be that more and more businesses will now be producing their own leaflets from affordable compatible ink cartridges in Dublin.

The low cost factor of printer ink in Dublin must be taken advantage of by those businesses wanting more footfall through their doors and printing small runs of leaflets or vouchers targeted to a particular day is a good way of attracting customers.

Buying ink cartridges online can be more cost effective and will help keep costs down. For those of you that want you ink last minute many of the online suppliers will offer next day delivery or if you prefer, you can use a service known as cartridge refill in Dublin, this is another cost effective way of controlling your print costs. Either way, take advantage of the low cost ink prices in Dublin at the moment and don’t forget – keep shopping!
