Where can I find good quality Compatible Ink Cartridges for my Epson Expression XP Printer?

CLICK HERE >> To Get Ink Cartridges for Epson Expression XP Printers with Multipack Deals and Save your Money
The Epson Expression range of printers is proving very popular with customers and is very affordable at a cost of around Euro 80 for the all-in-one printer. The down side we are hearing is the price of the Epson XP printer ink cartridges. Most people would not check out the price of the ink before buying the printer and fall into the trap of buying the cheapest printer only to be caught out when they come to replace the cartridges. The Epson Expression range of printers uses the T1811XL cartridges, the codes for each colours as follows: Black T1811XL, Cyan T1812XL, Magenta T1813XL, Yellow T1814XL.

These printers will work comfortably with the compatible version of the printers and for this reason alone this range of printers becomes exceptionally good value. These cartridges are easily obtained online from the various ink suppliers in Ireland and are perfect for the home or office user.

Some people will ask what's the difference between compatible and refilled or remanufactured ink, The simple answer is that although the technology of every printer is very complex, Epson, Canon and Brother manufacture a printer with a built-in print head, this means that when you are replacing the ink cartridge you are in fact changing the ink tank. More often than not, printers nowadays use an individual ink tank for the each colour ink (this can be up to 10 different ink cartridges in some printers) this means that when one of the colours run out you simply replace the empty ink cartridge. This is the system that's employed in the Epson Expression printers. Lexmark, HP and Dell (it's a little known fact that printers are manufactured by Lexmark for Dell), use an ink cartridge that has the print head integrated into the cartridge.

Each time you change an ink cartridge you are in fact installing a new print head into the printer! These cartridges are usually a lot more expensive due to the complex technology that's in the make up of the cartridge. These ink cartridges are therefore worth re-cycling because the print heads can be used several times without loss of quality. Overall, the best value ink cartridges are the ink tank replacement type that the Epson Expression printer use as they are both inexpensive and reliable as compatible cartridges.

What Inkjet Printers use the Best Value Ink Cartridges in Dublin?

Pros and Cons for Epson Inkjet Printers
If you are looking to upgrade or replace the printer that has finally given you more trouble than it is worth, how do know which printer to choose to replace it? There are several deciding issues to be considered when you are choosing a new printer but the one of the major factors is how much are you going to be paying for your ink cartridges in Dublin. We have put together some information below on some of the favourites in the running for the best home printers with the pros and cons for buying them.

Epson Expression XP-312:

Available on line for about €65 this all in one budget printer from Epson scans, prints from email, is wireless and is Apple Airprint compatible. Importantly the ink cartridges in Dublin you require are Epson T1811XL and these are available both locally and online as compatibles and are very reasonably priced.

Pros: This printer has excellent features as outlined above and also has touch screen and a memory card slot. The print quality of this printer is excellent for home use or a small office. You can print normal documents without any problems but the real winner with this printer is the print quality of its photo prints. Images print well on ordinary paper but really excel when they are printed on photo glossy paper. The compatible printer ink in Dublin is readily available and so helps keep the running costs low.

Cons: If you do print a lot of black and white then you will find that the black ink can run out quite quickly. A more office-orientated printer would be preferential if you are printing a lot of general black and white content. The peed of this printer may prove to be a bit slow for some people but in all honesty it’s the most negative thing we can say about it.

Epson Workforce WF 2530WF:

This printer is designed for the small office or for those that print a lot at home. Uses Epson T1631 ink cartridges. The compatible printer ink for this model have been found to be very affordable with savings of up to 50% and there are no reports of any issues while using compatibles.

Pros: Wireless all-in-one printer, copies, scans and has an automatic document feeder (essential for a busy home office) Apple and Airprint compatible. Great image quality printouts. Accepts affordable compatible ink cartridges.

Cons: It doesn’t print double sided (duplex printing) so it’s limiting as to how fast it will print long print runs. For a home printer it is a little on the large size.

How can I find a printer that gives me the best value for money?

Save Money on Printer Ink Cartridges in Ireland
It's impossible to tell just by looking at the cost of a set of ink cartridges, or by looking at the price of a printer that's on special offer, whether you are going to get good value for money when it comes to the number of pages you print.

The value for money is really calculated by the number of prints you are able to produce from each full set of ink cartridges. Some of the cheaper cartridges may only produce a few prints, and work out expensive in the long run.

A good way to calculate the value of the printer before buying is to calculate the cost of the printer ink and the number of pages you are able to print from a set of cartridges. This should help you to find the best value printer to buy. The cost of ink cartridges in Ireland generally is reducing for the home and business user but only if you make the switch to compatibles.

Typically, an inkjet printer whose printing costs are calculated to be more than 55% more than the average cannot be the best value buy irrespective of how well they print. So if you do your homework on the running costs of the ink cartridges the printer uses you can be sure that you’re getting a good printer that won't end up costing you 2 fortunes in ink.

Another reason a printer can sometimes seem expensive to run is because some ink will be lost when cleaning blockages. If a long amount of time is left in between printing the printer may automatically clean its print heads the next time you have a print run. The cleaning procedure itself will use ink - sometimes a large of ink can be used up if an ink cartridge is refusing to print properly. Printer manufacturers claim that automatic print-head cleaning procedures are necessary to ensure you get the very best prints every time, but independent tests have discovered that when it comes to print-head cleaning, some printers go through more ink cartridges than others.

The printer running costs should include the cost of the ink used for head cleaning. Independent test have shown that the most wasteful printers can use up to 500% more printer ink when leaving time between print jobs, and therefore having to run the head cleaning procedure. This is compared with printing an equal number of pages at one time. The former will dramatically increasing printing costs.

Where can I buy Advent ink cartridges in Cork?

Shop smartly for Advent Ink Cartridges Online with great saving
Advent printers are manufactured for Currys and PC World but the ink cartridges they use are not always easy to come by. The Advent A10 and AW10 series of printers use a black and colour ink cartridge both of which have been increasingly more difficult to obtain. Generally, ink cartridges in Cork are easily bought either from an ink shop in Cork or online with delivery usually within a couple of days. The advent cartridges until recently were only available from the Currys or PC World shops but are now available from good online suppliers.
Many people in Cork have bought these printers in recent years and have been delighted to learn that you can use the compatible version of the Advent ink cartridge without too many problems. Any good ink shop in Cork will stock the compatible Advent cartridges but they can be delivered either next day or within a few days when ordered online. Because there are so many Advent printers about, they would be one of more popular ink cartridges in Cork making the demand for them quite high.

Typically you could expect to pay around €21 for an original brand black ink cartridge and up to €35 for a colour cartridge. The compatible ink cartridges can be as low as €8.99 for a back and €13.99 for a colour cartridge excluding VAT. This is a saving of over 100% on the price of an original brand cartridge. The volume levels of ink are the same so it's a really good deal but I am not sure if you would get this deal ink an ink shop in Cork - I suspect that these prices would only be available online.

Of course you will need both Advent ink cartridges to be have a ink in them for the printer to work, it's not possible to print if one cartridge is empty – for example if you just want to print black you will still need the colour cartridge to have ink in it. The printer, it seems, will still use a tiny amount of colour ink even when printing a black image or text. The Advent printers are reliable and a good buy from PC World and Currys. However, the availability of the ink cartridges from another ink shop in Cork is more of a problem and can mean that you are limited to where you can buy your ink.

My Advent ink runs out very quickly, what can I do to make it last longer?

If you are finding that your Advent ink cartridge is not lasting as long as you would like, try these tips on saving money on your ink and toner.

Get Useful Tips to Make your Advent Ink Cartridges Last Longer
Buying a new printer is a major commitment and providing ink cartridges for it can be an expensive so we often source a printer such as the Advent range as an affordable option. The first way to save money is to switch to compatible ink cartridges; these will save you up to 50% off the original brand advent ink cartridge. Plus, you can stock up on compatibles as most cartridges have a 2-year shelf life. Adjusting your printer settings for example into 'draft' mode can save you up to 50% of ink!

Before buying your printer you should give some thought to the cost of buying an ink cartridge and how many pages it is likely to print and if this is sufficient for your requirements. A busy office would go through too many inkjet cartridges to make purchasing an inkjet printer cost effective so in this case a laser printer would be a better option. Printing on a high quality photo paper will also use more ink so only use a premium paper when it's absolutely necessary.

Will my Advent printer print black only if there is no ink in the colour ink cartridge?

Advent printers require you have both colour and black ink cartridges with ink in them for the printer to work either to print black or colour.

My Advent printer won't print black.

When you install the ink cartridge ensure that the tape or tabs are properly removed for the cartridge. If this is the case then remove and reinstall the cartridge making sure that the cartridge clicks into position. If this doesn't solve the problem you can attempt to reset the printer by removing the ink cartridges, switching the printer off, unplugging the printer, wait 30 seconds, switch the printer back on and reinsert the ink cartridges.

Will my Advent printer seems to be stuck in photocopy mode.

If this happens then first of all switch off the printer and restart your printer. Switch the printer back on to see if this clears it in the first instance. Check that the correct ink cartridge is fitted to the printer as this may cause the printer to react in this way. If the cartridge is correct, uninstall the printer, re-install and restart you computer.
