My Advent ink runs out very quickly, what can I do to make it last longer?

Buying a new printer is a major commitment and providing ink cartridges for it can be an expensive so we often source a printer such as the Advent range as an affordable option. Before buying your printer you should give some thought to the cost of buying an ink cartridge and how many pages it is likely to print and if this is sufficient for your requirements. A busy office would go through too many inkjet cartridges to make purchasing an inkjet printer cost effective so in this case a laser printer would be a better option. Printing on a high quality photo paper will also use more ink so only use a premium paper when it's absolutely necessary.

Will my Advent printer print black only if there is no ink in the colour ink cartridge?

Advent printers require you have both colour and black ink cartridges with ink in them for the printer to work either to print black or colour.

My Advent printer won't print black.

When you install the ink cartridge ensure that the tape or tabs are properly removed for the cartridge. If this is the case then remove and reinstall the cartridge making sure that the cartridge clicks into position. If this doesn't solve the problem you can attempt to reset the printer by removing the ink cartridges, switching the printer off, unplugging the printer, wait 30 seconds, switch the printer back on and reinsert the ink cartridges.

Will my Advent printer seems to be stuck in photocopy mode.

If this happens then first of all switch off the printer and restart your printer. Switch the printer back on to see if this clears it in the first instance. Check that the correct ink cartridge is fitted to the printer as this may cause the printer to react in this way. If the cartridge is correct, uninstall the printer, re-install and restart you computer.
